Pellicer Creek Campground

December 2019

AT&T Data speeds: 30mb down 15mb up

“Friendliest site. Great location, access to everywhere. No facilities on-site. Wifi pretty bad but our router had good signal”

So we made it to St. Augustine, only a 3 hour drive down from Savannah which was nice. Before we left Laurence had read some reviews that made him super nervous, tight spaces, bad internet. But it was too late to change our minds.

We arrived at 3pm, the manager was out walking his Yorkie. So we waited a few minutes to check in. The managers were lovely are so very helpful. We followed the lady to our site, and although, yes was a bit of a tight squeeze. Our 37th Grand Designs made it, and they put us in a pull through which was a nice touch as we had to leave again the very next morning to the Dometic Service center for our fridge/freezer repair.

The campground itself is very small, only holds 30 sites. There are no washroom or toilets on site (well there is one toilet but it has a sign on it telling you not to use it)

The site was not very level, but after some tweaking we got it as level as we could and that also meant our steps went straight out to the patio which was handy as we didn't bring mud/leaves/sand in constantly.

This site is located just about a half hour outside of Saint Augustine right on US 1. It is also about 45 minutes from Daytona.

It is very dog friendly, literally every other camper someone had a dog. I did notice that most of the 'tenants' here were exactly that, they had been here months or years. But everyone so was friendly, I bumped into a lady in the laundry room who is also here for a year. She ended up joining on me on a dog walk and taking me to the local gym which was so nice of her - thankyou Sandy!

As we travel with 2 dogs who enjoy their walks. One downside for us was the lack of walking or biking trails within the campground. (There are multiple places within a short drive that are available including Hiking trails and a park).

We would definitely stay here again.

Our pepwave router with ATT internet was getting 30mb down 15mb up.
